Singapore, February 2025 – Jacob Tan has joined Mercer as Partner and Executive Compensation Leader for Asia, where he will oversee the firm’s executive remuneration practice across the region. With extensive experience in compensation strategy, corporate governance, and incentives design, he will play a key role in helping organizations navigate the evolving landscape of executive pay and governance.
Prior to joining Mercer, Tan spent over 12 years at Aon, where he most recently served as Associate Partner and Regional Practice Lead for Executive Compensation, APAC. In this role, he led rewards and executive compensation solutions across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region, working closely with leading organizations on benchmarking, incentive plans, and corporate governance advisory.
Earlier in his career, Tan held leadership roles at Aon as Director, Senior Consultant, and Consultant, where he worked with major companies in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand on executive compensation strategies, board evaluations, and productivity benchmarking. His work with the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) included involvement in the Best Managed Board Awards and Singapore Board of Directors Survey.
Tan’s career began as a Research Assistant at the National University of Singapore before transitioning into corporate consulting. His deep expertise in executive remuneration, governance, and performance management positions him as a valuable addition to Mercer’s leadership team in Asia.
