Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 – In a strategic leadership transition aimed at accelerating growth and innovation in one of its most dynamic markets, L’Oréal has announced that Jacques Lebel will assume the role of India Country Manager starting October 1, 2025, while Aseem Kaushik will transition to the role of Chairman of L’Oréal India. This leadership reshuffle underscores the company’s commitment to deepening its presence and impact in India through a blend of global expertise and local insight.

With a proven track record across consumer products, innovation strategy, and emerging markets, Jacques brings nearly two decades of leadership experience across L’Oréal, AB InBev, and Procter & Gamble. Prior to this appointment, he served as Director General of L’Oréal Consumer Products in Mexico, where he led transformational growth strategies and market expansion.

His earlier roles include leadership across France, the UK, and global markets in oral care and beauty, having managed flagship brands like Stella Artois, Leffe, and Oral-B, and overseeing innovation portfolios for markets across Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Meanwhile, Aseem Kaushik steps into the Chairman role after an illustrious journey spanning nearly three decades with L’Oréal. He most recently served as Country Managing Director of L’Oréal India and earlier held regional roles including General Manager of Professional Products Asia-Pacific and General Manager of the Consumer Products Division in India.

His leadership has been central to shaping L’Oréal’s India success story—building iconic brands, fostering talent, and enhancing the company’s societal footprint across the subcontinent.

Together, Jacques and Aseem represent the seamless blend of global vision and local execution, setting the stage for L’Oréal India’s next phase of strategic evolution. In a statement, L’Oréal highlighted that this transition “marks a pivotal new chapter for the company in one of its fastest-growing markets. From innovation to impact, we are doubling down on business expansion and societal engagement in India.”
