Lisa Basumatari Appointed as Head – Talent and OD at Arvind Fashions Limited

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, May 2025 – Lisa Basumatari has joined Arvind Fashions Limited as Head – Talent and Organizational Development (OD). In this strategic leadership role, she will focus on enhancing talent practices, building organizational capability, and driving culture and engagement initiatives to support the company’s growth and transformation journey. Lisa will work closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer, Rohith Kumar, and the leadership team to develop and implement people strategies aligned with the organization’s brand vision and business objectives.

Prior to this, Lisa was associated with McDonald’s India (West and South) for nearly two and a half years, where she served as General Manager – People Resources and earlier as Deputy General Manager – People Resources. She played a significant role in strengthening the people agenda for the brand, contributing to capability building, performance enablement, and employee experience initiatives across the business.

Before McDonald’s, Lisa led the Learning & Development, Talent Management, and Campus Relations charter at SMEcorner, a digital lender for small businesses. Her efforts helped strengthen the organization’s talent pipeline and create a learning culture during a key phase of business scaling and transformation.

Earlier, Lisa worked at Reliance Retail as Lead – Talent Management, where she was instrumental in driving enterprise-wide initiatives across talent identification, succession planning, and career development. Prior to that, she held HR leadership roles at RBL Bank and Viacom18 Media, focusing on Learning, OD, and organizational effectiveness.

Lisa began her career in training content development and behavioral learning with organizations such as Lee Hecht Harrison, The Learning Canvas, and TraininginCorporate, laying a strong foundation in capability building and instructional design. She holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Mumbai, and brings over 15 years of diverse HR experience across retail, media, banking, and digital sectors.
