Joining the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Dr. Misra brings his extensive corporate experience to the political arena, appointed as the National Spokesperson of the party.
He has been confirmed as the BJD’s MP candidate for the Cuttack Lok Sabha constituency.
Dr. Misra’s career at Aditya Birla Group spanned over 27 years, where he held prestigious positions such as the Director of Human Resources, Group Director of Birla Carbon, and Director of Chemicals. His move to BJD marks a significant shift from corporate to political governance, a transition spurred by his admiration for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s governance model, which he refers to as ‘spiritual governance’.
