TweetPostShareWhatsapp

Dr. Santrupt Misra, a name synonymous with human resources innovation and corporate leadership at the Aditya Birla Group, has recently transitioned into a new role within the political landscape of Odisha. Joining the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Dr. Misra brings his extensive corporate experience to the political arena, appointed as the National Spokesperson of the party.

He has been confirmed as the BJD’s MP candidate for the Cuttack Lok Sabha constituency.

Dr. Misra’s career at Aditya Birla Group spanned over 27 years, where he held prestigious positions such as the Director of Human Resources, Group Director of Birla Carbon, and Director of Chemicals. His move to BJD marks a significant shift from corporate to political governance, a transition spurred by his admiration for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s governance model, which he refers to as ‘spiritual governance’.

During his induction into the party, Misra expressed a deep-seated desire to contribute to Odisha’s development, a state that has always had a special place in his heart despite his many years spent outside. His commitment to serve the people and strengthen the party underscores a new chapter in his illustrious career, aiming to leverage his corporate skills for public welfare.

Misra’s entry into BJD is seen as a significant addition to the party, promising a blend of corporate efficiency with political governance. He will be true representative of HR fraternity in Indian Politics. The political landscape will truly benefit from his vast business and people experiences.
