Bentonville, Arkansas, United States, March 2025 – Jake Pordes has taken on a new role as Director, People Partner at Walmart, a strategic leadership position within one of the world’s largest retailers. In this new capacity, Jake will continue to contribute to Walmart’s people-first approach by aligning talent strategy with business operations across its expansive workforce.
Jake has been with Walmart for over one year, most recently serving as Senior Manager, People Partner, where he played a pivotal role in driving organizational change and people strategy. His time in Bentonville solidified his standing as a trusted advisor in talent development and strategic HR planning.

Prior to Walmart, Jake was Director of Human Resources at RXO, Inc., where he led several cost-saving and workforce transformation initiatives, including a $4.7M organizational redesign and over 100 successful temporary-to-permanent employee conversions. He also developed HR team capabilities through targeted development programs.
Jake spent nearly four years at XPO Logistics, progressing from Manager to Senior Manager, Human Resources, supporting large-scale operations across 25 states. His initiatives included leadership coaching, succession planning, and operational HR support for over 500 employees in the Last Mile division.
Earlier in his career, Jake held HR roles at MUFG, PepsiCo, and Mount Sinai Health System, where he led organizational design, global people planning, talent development, and employee engagement strategies across diverse sectors. He holds a Master’s in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University.
