Stannah Group, a global leader in stairlifts and homelifts, has promoted James Buttigieg as its new Chief People Officer.

Buttigieg’s tenure at Stannah Group spans over two years, during which he has significantly contributed to the organization’s HR strategies as Group Human Resources Director. His efforts have been pivotal in shaping Stannah’s global HR strategy, enhancing employee engagement, and driving transformative change across the company.
Before joining Stannah Group, Buttigieg held significant roles at Carrier Corporation and Otis Elevator Co., where he led major HR projects and initiatives across Europe and the UK, respectively. His experience also includes a substantial period at Transport for London, further establishing his credentials in HR leadership and strategy.
In his new role as Chief People Officer, Buttigieg will oversee Stannah Group’s human resources strategy, focusing on fostering a culture of growth, inclusivity, and innovation. His previous achievements within the company, including the design of Stannah’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy and the introduction of a global employee survey system, have already set a strong foundation for his future endeavors in this position.
