South Lyon, Michigan, United States, July 2024 – Jason Desentz has joined Toshiba as the Chief Human Resources Officer. In his new role, Jason will oversee all HR operations, drive strategic HR initiatives, and support Toshiba’s growth and innovation objectives.
Jason previously served as the Human Capital Advisor at FlowerHire for over two years. In this role, he was instrumental in providing strategic HR guidance and support, focusing on change management, HR policies, and global human resources management. His expertise in employee benefits design and strategic HR leadership significantly contributed to the organization’s human capital strategies.
Before FlowerHire, Jason was the President & Head of Human Capital Advisory at Glacier Advisory Partners Consultancy. He led the Human Capital value chain function and implementation teams, focusing on business optimization, financial and human capital areas. His strategic planning and HR policy development played a crucial role in the consultancy’s success.
At Horizon Global, Jason held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer. He managed the global HR function across production and distribution centers worldwide. He regularly interfaced with the Board of Directors and chaired the Compensation Committee, presenting on talent management, succession planning, and executive compensation. Jason also led HR efforts for several successful M&A activities, ensuring seamless integration and business growth.
Jason also served as the AVP of Organizational Effectiveness – Human Resources at Jackson National Life. He oversaw Jackson’s Corporate University, Organizational Effectiveness & Change Management, Process Management (LEAN / Six Sigma), Technical Training, and Workforce Analytics, managing a substantial budget and leading a team of HR professionals.
Additionally, Jason has extensive experience from his roles at Henry Ford Health System as Vice President – Human Resources, Goodyear as HR Director – Supply Chain, Purchasing, Legal, Real Estate, & Communications, and various HR positions at Chrysler. At Henry Ford Health System, he provided comprehensive HR support to multiple hospital campuses and satellite health facilities. At Goodyear, he oversaw HR operations for a significant segment of the North American business. During his time at Chrysler, he held multiple HR roles, including Organizational Effectiveness Consultant Manager, HR Strategy and Compensation & Organization Planning, HR Generalist for Controlling Finance, HRIS Senior Business Consultant, and HR Projects Administrator & Senior Business Analyst.
