London Area, United Kingdom, February 2026 — Jean Tan has started a new role as Global SVP, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability at Mars, where she will lead the company’s global agenda across corporate affairs and sustainability. Her appointment comes after several senior leadership roles within Mars, reflecting her deep expertise in reputation management, communications, and stakeholder engagement across global markets.
Prior to this appointment, Jean Tan served as Vice President, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability for Mars Wrigley Europe & Central Eurasia and earlier as Corporate Affairs Director for Mars Wrigley Asia & Global Emerging Markets, where she helped shape communications and sustainability strategies across diverse regions. Alongside her executive role, she also serves as a Non-Executive / Independent Director at ICP Ltd., contributing governance oversight in Singapore’s commercial real estate sector.
Before joining Mars, Tan worked as a Special Adviser at Landmark Public Affairs and as an independent consultant advising organizations on corporate reputation, employee engagement, and public affairs. She also held leadership roles at Brunswick Group, providing senior counsel on reputation and stakeholder strategy across multiple industries.
Earlier in her career, Tan spent over a decade at IHG Hotels & Resorts, where she rose to Vice President, Communications, Asia Middle East & Africa, leading regional corporate and brand communications, crisis management, and employee engagement. Her professional journey began with communications roles at Hill & Knowlton and Audi, building a strong foundation in strategic communications and brand management.
