Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, January 2026 – Advocate Health has announced the appointment of Jennifer Pruett as Vice President, People Connections, strengthening its People & Culture leadership team. In this role, she will shape communication across the entire teammate journey, connecting more than 170,000 teammates to Advocate Health’s purpose and commitments while enhancing the overall employee experience across its six-state footprint.
Prior to joining Advocate Health, Jennifer Pruett spent over seven years at Cigna Healthcare, most recently serving as Vice President Human Resources. During her tenure, she played a central role in aligning HR strategy with business transformation, supporting large-scale workforce initiatives, and advancing leadership effectiveness across multiple functions. Earlier at Cigna, she served as Senior Director, HR Business Partner, where she partnered with senior executives to drive organizational design, culture integration, and talent strategies in a complex healthcare environment.
Before Cigna, Jennifer built deep expertise at Express Scripts over nearly five years, holding roles including Senior Director, HR Communications and Director, Human Resources Communications. She led enterprise-wide communication programs that strengthened employee engagement, change management, and leadership visibility during periods of significant growth and integration within the organization.
Earlier in her career, she served as Senior Vice President – Internal Communications at Fleishman-Hillard for more than four years, advising Fortune-level clients on workforce communication, culture alignment, and leadership messaging. She also held internal communications leadership roles at The Solae Company and the Girl Scout Council of Greater St. Louis, establishing a strong foundation in stakeholder engagement and strategic storytelling.
Jennifer holds an MBA in International Business from Saint Louis University, complementing her extensive experience in people strategy, communications, and organizational effectiveness within large, mission-driven enterprises.
