Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – Jhuma Sarkar has been appointed as the Vice President – Human Resources at ITM Group of Institutions. In this role, she will lead the institution’s HR strategy, focusing on talent management, organizational development, and workforce transformation. Her appointment aligns with ITM’s commitment to fostering a dynamic and engaging work culture in higher education.
Jhuma Sarkar joins ITM Group of Institutions after serving as Performance Excellence Head at Prince Pipes and Fittings Ltd for nearly three years, where she led HR business partnerships, learning and development, performance management, and strategic workforce planning. She played a key role in enhancing employee experience and optimizing HR processes.
Prior to that, she spent over eight years at Shapoorji Pallonji Armada Oil Exploration Private Limited as Head of Human Resources, overseeing both offshore and onshore HR operations. She successfully implemented payroll automation, employee engagement initiatives, and strategic workforce planning, achieving a significantly improved retention rate in the industry.
Before her tenure at Shapoorji Pallonji, she was Head of Human Resources at Sharyans Resources, where she led HR operations for multiple associate companies under the parent group. Additionally, she worked as Manager – HR at Tamarind Tours Pvt. Ltd, where she defined HR policies, talent retention frameworks, and organizational restructuring initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Jhuma Sarkar held key HR roles at Travel Post Pvt Ltd, Emco Ltd, Lodha Group, and TMI Network, where she gained extensive experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, and HR strategy. She began her HR journey at TMI Network, where she developed a strong foundation in recruitment and industry mapping.
