St Leonards, New South Wales, Australia, August 2024 – Jo Bertram has been named the Head of People & Culture at NSW Farmers. In this new role, she will oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive people and culture strategy, focusing on enhancing employee engagement, managing employee relations, and spearheading initiatives that promote learning and development within the organization. Jo’s extensive experience in human resources and people management makes her a valuable addition to NSW Farmers as they continue to support the agricultural community across New South Wales.
Before joining NSW Farmers, Jo served as the Head of People & Culture at DSE Transport for approximately 1 year. Here, she was instrumental in driving the people strategy across the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals while managing a hybrid workforce across Australia.
Prior to her role at DSE Transport, Jo was the Head of People & Culture at Direct Group & TVSN Channel for about 5 years. She led a team of professionals and worked closely with the executive leadership team to align the organization’s people strategy with its corporate vision, manage the employee life cycle, and mitigate employee relations risks.
Earlier in her career, Jo held the position of HR Manager at Jacobs for around 1 year. She was responsible for driving key HR strategic initiatives, supporting the business in health and safety culture, and leading the Inclusion and Diversity agenda in the Eastern Region.
Jo’s career also includes a notable tenure of over 9 years at Ricoh Australia, where she served as the National People & Purpose Operations Manager. She played a critical role in driving HR strategy, managing talent acquisition, and leading business transformation initiatives.
