Tasmania, Australia – October 2024 – Jo Turfrey has taken on the role of Head of People Experience at TasNetworks, where she will be responsible for enhancing the employee experience and shaping HR strategies to foster a thriving work environment. Jo’s transition into this role follows over a decade of service at TasNetworks, demonstrating her commitment and expertise in driving transformation and employee engagement.

Before her new role, Jo served as Head of Transformation at TasNetworks for over two years, where she led strategic programs to implement business transformation initiatives. Her efforts included decision-making processes, change management, and leadership development across the organization.

Prior to that, Jo was the Transformation Leader, Operations, managing strategic projects focused on optimizing operational processes and driving efficiency improvements. Her leadership significantly contributed to refining operational workflows and boosting team performance.

Jo also held the role of Group Leader of Customer Services at TasNetworks for nearly eight years, overseeing customer service functions and ensuring effective service delivery. Her leadership in this role was instrumental in improving customer service processes, which ultimately enhanced the company’s service standards.

Before joining TasNetworks, Jo worked at Aurora Energy, where she held various roles over nearly 17 years. Her positions included Acting Group Manager of Customer Service, Customer Advocacy Manager, Customer Services Team Leader, and Customer Services Technical Leader. In these roles, she focused on driving customer service excellence, strategic planning, and stakeholder management.

TasNetworks is Tasmania’s electricity networks business, delivering power to over 250,000 homes and businesses through its extensive network of transmission towers, substations, and distribution lines.
