Greater Chicago Area, United States, September 2025 – Johanna Koehler has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Stumm Insurance. In this new role, she will lead human capital management and legal compliance, while aligning people strategies to strengthen the organization’s employee experience and long-term growth.
Prior to joining Stumm Insurance, Johanna served as Human Resources Consultant at JCK HR Consulting LLC for over nine years. She advised clients on HR strategy, compliance, payroll, and systems implementation, including Workday, BambooHR, Namely HR, Paylocity, and Ceridian. She also conducted compliance audits, developed HR policies and handbooks, and supported organizations in building strong HR foundations.
Before consulting, Johanna spent a decade at ATI Physical Therapy, where she rose to become Director of HRIS & Administration. She led a seven-person HR administration team, managed benefits, HRIS, and compliance, and played a central role in onboarding employees from more than 50 acquisitions. Her efforts ensured compliance across states, while implementing large-scale HR systems to support a fast-growing company.
Earlier, she was Corporate Benefits Compliance Manager at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where she oversaw benefits audits, trained HR leaders across North America, and supported property openings and closings. She began her career as an HR Administrator at Golin, gaining early experience in HR operations and administration.
Johanna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s in Human Resources from Loyola University Chicago.
