El Monte, California, United States, March 2025 – John Tracey has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer at The Gill Corporation, a globally recognized manufacturer of high-performance composite materials and aerospace products. In this strategic leadership role, John will oversee the financial operations of the organization, guiding financial strategy, compliance, reporting, and growth-focused fiscal planning across its international footprint.
Prior to this, John served as Chief Financial Officer at Econolite for nearly 16 years. During his tenure, he partnered with executive leadership to deliver significant revenue and EBITDA growth, led M&A due diligence, and spearheaded major ERP transformations including a fully remote go-live implementation during COVID-19. His initiatives enhanced financial efficiency, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity, contributing to the company’s digital transformation and resilience.

Before Econolite, John was the Managing Partner at Lucas Horsfall, a full-service accounting firm. Over nearly 16 years, he guided the firm through major growth, institutionalized succession planning for leadership continuity, and established foundational systems that enhanced client service delivery and team development.
Earlier in his career, he worked at Ernst & Young (EY) as a Tax Senior, where he specialized in tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses, including international and multi-state entities. His broad tax expertise complemented his evolving focus on business advisory and financial strategy.
John holds a Master of Business Taxation (MBT) from the University of Southern California, strengthening his foundation in financial strategy and tax planning within complex business environments.
