Knoxville, Tennessee, United States, September 2025 – Joy Wilson has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at UT Federal Credit Union (UTFCU). In her new role, she will lead HR strategy, employee engagement, and organizational development to further strengthen UTFCU’s mission of serving its members and communities under the credit union philosophy of People Helping People.
Before joining UTFCU, Joy served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley for over a year, where she played a pivotal role in shaping HR strategy, building strong employee engagement programs, and driving organizational development to support the nonprofit’s mission of empowering youth.
Prior to that, she worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), where she held leadership positions as Director of Learning, Engagement and Development and Director of Employee Experience. During her tenure, she drove initiatives in change management, employee engagement, and leadership development, enhancing organizational culture at one of the nation’s premier research institutions.
Joy also had a distinguished 19-year career at ORNL Federal Credit Union, where she rose to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. She oversaw strategic HR operations, employee experience, and administrative excellence, contributing significantly to the credit union’s long-term growth and culture of service.
