Singapore, December 2024 – Joyita Poddar has joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as the new Senior Director of Human Resources for Southeast Asia and Taiwan (SEATW). With over 25 years of global HR expertise in technology and e-commerce, Joyita will lead the SEATW HR team while partnering with global and regional stakeholders to attract, develop, and retain top talent. Her role will be instrumental in enhancing Thermo Fisher’s market competitiveness across key regions like Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. Based in Singapore, she will also focus on driving growth and ensuring an exceptional employee experience.
Before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Joyita Poddar served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Livspace, where she led HR initiatives for over five years, driving organizational transformation and employee engagement.
Prior to this, she was the Founder and Managing Partner at Big Step, a boutique consultancy specializing in HR strategy and leadership coaching, and a Certified Solutions Focused Coach at CCPC Global, enhancing her repertoire in leadership development.
Joyita also held the position of Senior Director Human Resources – APAC at Sabre Corporation for over eight years, where she implemented strategic HR initiatives across Asia-Pacific, contributing significantly to organizational success in the region.
Earlier in her career, she demonstrated her leadership capabilities in various senior HR roles, including Head of Human Resources at eBay and Senior Manager at Disney Star. Her expertise spans organizational development, corporate strategy, and talent management across diverse industries.
