The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), a premier global professional association dedicated to the advancement of the internal audit profession, is excited to welcome Li-Ann Kuan as its new Vice President of Certifications starting April 2024.
Kuan, who brings a profound depth of experience from her extensive career in the assessment and education industry, is set to lead all aspects of IIA’s global certifications and provide strategic direction to its certification programs.
Kuan’s career has been marked by her significant contributions to organizations such as Prometric, where she led a department of over 80 professionals across multiple countries, achieving notable revenue gains and cost reductions through effective leadership and standardization.
Her experience also extends to roles at Kaplan, where she was pivotal in transforming the culture towards measuring student learning, and the American Institutes for Research, where she worked on international educational policy and assessment programs. Additionally, Kuan has shared her expertise as an instructor and member of the advisory board at UCSD Extension, further highlighting her commitment to education and assessment.
Returning from a yearlong sabbatical, Kuan expresses her enthusiasm about re-engaging with the assessment industry and contributing to the IIA in her new capacity. “I am very pleased (and excited) to announce that I will be starting a new position at The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in April,” she shared. Her break has not only rekindled her passion for the field but also provided her with a refreshed focus on what matters most in her professional endeavors.
