Gurugram, Haryana, India, March 2026 — BlackRock has appointed Karan Marwah as Vice President – India Benefits Strategy, strengthening the firm’s focus on strategic rewards and employee benefits initiatives in India.
In his new role, Marwah will lead the development and execution of benefits strategies for BlackRock’s India workforce, focusing on designing competitive and data-driven programs that enhance employee well-being, support talent retention, and align rewards frameworks with the organization’s long-term people strategy.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Marwah served as Total Rewards Lead at UKG, where he led compensation and benefits initiatives and partnered with leadership teams to strengthen rewards strategies and employee value propositions across the organization.
Earlier, he spent over five years with The Coca-Cola Company, most recently serving as Total Rewards Consultant – Middle East and Eurasia. In this role, he supported compensation and benefits programs across multiple markets and contributed to regional rewards strategies aimed at enhancing workforce engagement and competitiveness. Before this assignment, he worked as a Total Rewards Analyst, where he was involved in compensation studies, market benchmarking, and rewards program development.
Prior to that, Marwah worked with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., where he held roles including Manager – Diversity & Inclusion and Manager – Sales HR. During this period, he led diversity initiatives, strengthened employee engagement programs, and supported HR business partnering for large sales teams across northern India.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Aon Hewitt as Senior Analyst – HR Consulting (Compensation and Benchmarking) and Analyst – HR Consulting, where he specialized in compensation benchmarking, rewards analytics, and consulting assignments across industries, particularly within the banking sector.
He began his professional journey as a Risk Analyst at Max New York, gaining early experience in risk evaluation and financial analysis within the insurance sector.
With over 15 years of experience across rewards strategy, compensation benchmarking, HR consulting, and talent programs, Karan Marwah brings strong expertise in designing data-driven rewards frameworks and building people-centric strategies that support business growth.
