San Diego, California, USA, May 2024 – DaBella is delighted to announce the promotion of Karla Fernandez Liles to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer. DaBella, Karla has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to enhancing the company’s human resources strategies. She extends her gratitude to her predecessor for the mentorship, friendship, and guidance provided.
Karla has been an integral part of DaBella’s HR team, serving as the Director of Human Resources from October 2022 to May 2024. In this role, she led initiatives focused on training, employee benefits, strategic planning, compensation structures, and performance management. Her strategic vision and operational expertise have significantly contributed to the company’s growth and employee satisfaction.
Prior to her role as Director, Karla served as HR & Benefits Manager from February 2021 to October 2022. She was instrumental in managing employee benefits and HRIS database management, ensuring efficient HR operations and compliance with relevant regulations.
Before joining DaBella, Karla gained substantial experience in HR management and benefits administration. She was the Benefits & Retirement Manager at American Savings Bank from June 2016 to December 2017. Here, she managed the employee benefits program, presented annual benefits budgets, and realized significant cost savings through strategic plan design changes.
At ProService Hawaii, Karla served as the Supplemental Benefits & Retirement Manager from July 2015 to June 2016. She provided administrative and consultative services related to voluntary, fringe, and retirement benefits to over 1,300 employers, improving the overall benefits experience for more than 22,000 employees.
Her earlier roles include serving as an Employee Benefits Advisor at The Bailey Group from February 2010 to March 2015 and as a New Business Manager at Montoya Brower & Associates from May 2006 to January 2010. These positions helped her develop expertise in employee benefits, strategic planning, and customer service.
