New Zealand, August 2024 – Fonterra has announced the appointment of Kate Shirley as the new Head of People & Culture for Global Engineering & Technical & Operations Optimisation. In this role, Kate will lead the people and culture strategies for Fonterra’s global engineering and technical operations teams, driving initiatives that support the company’s growth and operational excellence.
Prior to this new role, Kate served as the Senior People & Culture Partner at Fonterra for over two years. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s people strategies, focusing on talent management and employee engagement within a hybrid work environment.
Before that, Kate was an HR Business Partner at Fonterra for approximately four years, where she provided strategic HR support at the Lichfield site, helping to foster a strong and inclusive workplace culture.
Kate’s journey with Fonterra began over a decade ago, during which she held various HR roles, including HR Technical Assistant and HR Advisor. Her experience also includes positions as an HR Services Administrator and a Livestock Administrator at RD1 Limited.
