Katherine has been with DFAS for more than eight years, most recently serving as Career Program Coordinator, HR Strategy and Support. In this role, she was instrumental in developing HR frameworks, aligning people strategies with organizational priorities, and managing workforce planning initiatives that advanced DFAS’s mission effectiveness.

Earlier, she served at the Washington Headquarters Services, Office of the Secretary of Defense, where she worked as a Human Resources Specialist in the Diversity, Disability & Recruitment Division. During this period, she led programs such as the Presidential Management Fellows initiative and Pathways Programs, advising senior leaders, managing recruitment pipelines, and enhancing inclusion strategies across the Department of Defense.

Before that, Katherine gained experience as a Program Support Specialist in the Special Employment Programs Team within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. She managed volunteer and intern programs, coordinated security clearances, and guided workforce placement strategies that helped broaden talent access. Additionally, she contributed to the Deputy Chief Management Officer Reorganization Communications Team, supporting strategic communications during large-scale DoD restructuring.

Katherine began her professional journey as a Staff Assistant with both the Office of the Director of Administration and Management, OSD and JHT, Inc., where she provided executive-level administrative support, crisis management tracking, and organizational coordination. She also served as Office Manager and Marketing Assistant at Legal Assets, where she honed her operational and communication expertise, laying the foundation for her HR leadership career.
