New Delhi, India, July 2025 — Kausalya Nandakumar has been appointed as the Chief Business Officer for the Emerging Mobility Business Unit at Hero MotoCorp, where she will lead the strategic growth of VIDA, the company’s electric mobility brand. She will report directly to Executive Chairman Pawan Munjal, as Hero accelerates its push into the future of sustainable and smart mobility.
Kausalya brings close to 20 years of experience driving innovation, business transformation, and venture scaling across electric and digital mobility ecosystems. During her long tenure at the Mahindra Group, she held several pivotal leadership roles, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited. In this capacity, she led go-to-market strategy and operational readiness for the launch of Mahindra’s $9.8 billion electric SUV business.
Her diverse portfolio at Mahindra also included spearheading Glyd, the electric shared mobility initiative; leading SmartShift, a digital logistics venture; and overseeing business transformation at Krish-e, the group’s agri-tech platform. Across these assignments, she is credited with building high-performing teams, scaling digital-first platforms, and architecting customer-centric strategies.
Kausalya holds an MBA in Marketing from NMIMS and a Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering from VESIT. She has also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Quality Management from the Mahindra Institute of Quality. A recognized change-maker in the mobility sector, her appointment signals Hero MotoCorp’s ambition to lead the electric revolution with purpose and innovation.
