Madison, Wisconsin, United States, August 2025 – Kayla Conklin has been appointed as Vice President Human Resources at the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). In this role, she will lead HR strategy, talent management, and workforce initiatives that support WEDC’s mission of driving sustainable business growth and job creation across Wisconsin.
Most recently, Kayla Conklin served as Talent Acquisition Manager at Summit Credit Union, where she was responsible for shaping recruitment strategies, driving talent pipelines, and aligning acquisition efforts with the organization’s growth. Her leadership contributed to strengthening the credit union’s employer brand and securing top talent across key business functions.
Prior to Summit, she was with Park Bank – Madison for more than three years. She initially worked as a Relationship Banker before advancing to Talent Management Officer, where she designed and implemented talent development frameworks, organizational development initiatives, and employee engagement programs to foster workforce growth and retention.
Earlier, she gained valuable experience at RISE, where she worked as a Senior Case Manager, leading community outreach, client engagement, and support initiatives. Before that, she served as a Site Supervisor at ATTIC Correctional Services, Inc., where she managed staff and day-to-day operations, further honing her leadership and people management skills.
Kayla Conklin holds a Master of Science in Communication from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, equipping her with expertise in strategic communication, leadership, and organizational effectiveness.
