Oro-Medonte, Ontario, Canada, March 2025 – Kelly Watson has joined the Township of Oro-Medonte as Director of People and Culture, where she will lead human resources strategy, talent management, and organizational development initiatives. In this role, she will focus on enhancing employee engagement, fostering a positive workplace culture, and aligning HR policies with the township’s long-term goals.
Prior to joining Township of Oro-Medonte, Kelly served as Vice President of Culture & Community at Muskoka Brewery, where she played a key leadership role in developing and executing HR strategies, leading community engagement initiatives, and managing employer branding. She also led workforce planning and policy implementation, positioning Muskoka Brewery as a recognized leader in workplace culture and employee experience.
Before that, Kelly held key HR leadership roles at Albarrie Canada Limited, where she served as Human Resources Manager, overseeing talent acquisition, policy development, compliance management, and employee relations. She also worked at Joe Johnson Equipment, where she led HR and safety operations across multiple locations in Canada and the U.S., implementing strategies that strengthened employee engagement and organizational efficiency.
Kelly began her HR career at Maple Leaf Foods and The Woodbridge Group, where she gained extensive experience in labour relations, recruitment, and workforce development. With a strong background in human resources leadership, compliance management, and strategic planning, she is well-positioned to support the Township of Oro-Medonte’s HR and workforce objectives.
