Most recently, he served as Regional HR Director – Southeast Asia & ANZ, partnering with leaders across 10+ markets and supporting 3,000+ employees in a regional business of €650 million+. During this tenure, he played a pivotal role in shaping HR operating models, designing scalable workforce structures, leading greenfield expansions, and supporting mergers and acquisitions across Asia.
At Kerry, Avik led major initiatives such as new site set-ups, including a flavour R&D centre in Singapore and a flavour plant in Indonesia, alongside leading M&A integrations across Malaysia, Vietnam, and India. He also drove talent and leadership programs, built high-potential pipelines and competency frameworks, and served as the APMEA lead for the Kerry Leadership Competency Framework, embedding it into performance, succession and talent processes. His work is also credited with improving employee engagement significantly and championing diversity, equity and inclusion programs across the region.
Earlier in his career, Avik held HR leadership roles at Asian Paints PPG Pvt. Ltd. and Asian Paints, where he led HR for business units and manufacturing operations, including responsibilities spanning HR, industrial relations, and plant-level workforce leadership. He began his professional HR journey with ICICI Bank.
Avik is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, where he completed his PGDPMIR (Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration).
