York, Pennsylvania, United States, April 2025 – Kimberly Brister has stepped into her new role as Vice President, Talent & Culture at WellSpan Health, further strengthening the organization’s commitment to building an empowered, values-driven, and inclusive workforce. In this pivotal role, she will spearhead the development and execution of talent management strategies to attract, develop, and retain high-performing teams aligned with WellSpan’s mission of lifelong wellness and exceptional care.
Brister has spent nearly two decades at WellSpan Health, where she has consistently advanced in key leadership positions. Prior to this new appointment, she served as Vice President and Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer, where she was responsible for embedding equity and inclusion into the organization’s culture, leading organizational effectiveness efforts, and advising executive leadership. Earlier, as Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion, she played a critical role in building an engaged and diverse workforce through inclusive hiring strategies.
Before assuming these roles, she held the title of Director of Talent Acquisition, where she strengthened organizational capabilities by implementing systems that anticipated business needs. She also served as Manager, Employment and Manager, Human Resources, where she oversaw daily recruitment operations, developed HR policies, championed employee morale initiatives, and co-led the organization’s Diversity Initiative. These experiences deepened her strategic HR acumen and influence across the organization.
Earlier in her career, Brister was Senior Human Resources Representative at WellSpan Health, managing executive-level recruitment and workforce development initiatives. She also spent four years at Dentsply International Inc. as an HR Generalist, where she led employee relations, staff development, compliance reporting, and recruitment across multiple staff levels. These foundational roles shaped her comprehensive understanding of the healthcare talent landscape.
Across her career, Brister has demonstrated deep expertise in talent management, organizational development, HR strategy, and building inclusive workplace cultures. Her leadership style centers around collaboration, equity, and strategic foresight, making her a strong advocate for aligning talent with mission-driven healthcare delivery.
