Chico, California, United States, January 2026 – Tri Counties Bank has announced the appointment of Kristen Dominguez as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. Bringing more than 25 years of HR leadership experience, Kristen will oversee the Bank’s enterprise people strategy, strengthen leadership development, and advance workforce transformation and HR modernization. Her background in diversity initiatives, change management, and performance transformation programs is expected to further support Tri Counties Bank’s commitment to fostering careers and building a strong organizational culture.
In her new role at Tri Counties Bank, Kristen Dominguez will lead the enterprise-wide people agenda, with a focus on leadership capability building, HR modernization, and workforce transformation aligned to the Bank’s long-term growth and culture priorities.
Before joining Tri Counties Bank, Kristen spent over five years with Blue Diamond Growers in California, progressing through senior HR leadership roles including HR Operations and Total Rewards and later Senior Director, Total Rewards, Talent and L&D. Across these roles, she led talent and rewards initiatives and strengthened programs spanning operations, learning and development, and enterprise people practices.
Earlier, Kristen served for about two years at the University of Denver as Total Rewards and Workforce Analytics Director, where she led total rewards strategy, performance management, succession planning, and workforce analytics for a multi-generational employee population. Her work included advancing change management, modernizing HR systems, championing diversity and inclusion efforts, and using metrics on cost, engagement, productivity, and retention to guide decisions.
Kristen’s foundational experience was built over more than a decade at Chipotle Mexican Grill, where she held multiple leadership roles including Manager of Compensation, Compensation Director, and Head of Compensation, HRIS and People Analytics. In these capacities, she drove compensation strategy, HRIS roadmaps, people analytics, and performance-to-rewards linkages, supporting large-scale workforces and enabling system-wide transformation through data and technology.
Kristen Dominguez holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Denver.
