Gurugram, Haryana, India, May 2024 – Kuldeep VM has recently joined WHSmith as the CHRO and Retail Head. In his new role, Kuldeep will oversee HR and retail operations across India, focusing on strategic leadership, talent management, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Kuldeep’s most recent role was as Head of Human Resources at Travel News Services India. During his tenure, he served the retail formats of WHSmith India and Foodhall, leading teams in talent acquisition, people management, and talent development.
Before Travel News Services India, Kuldeep was the Chief Manager Learning & Development at Reliance Retail. His responsibilities included overseeing learning initiatives, developing training programs, and enhancing employee skills across the organization.
Kuldeep also held the position of Learning Specialist at Easyday Club for nearly six years. His efforts were instrumental in designing training programs, managing new store openings, and improving operational training and skills.
Earlier in his career, Kuldeep worked at Bharti Retail Ltd. in various training roles. He started as a Training Manager focusing on operations management and was later promoted to Training Lead. His responsibilities included designing training programs, liaising with SMEs, and managing appraisals, promotions, and recruitment.
Kuldeep’s earlier roles also include Store Manager at The Electronics Store (Essar Group), Department Manager at Reliance Digital Retail Limited, and Branch Head at Dawar Open World Private Limited.
