Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2025 — Lakshmi Iyer has been appointed as the Group President of Investments at Bajaj Finserv Ltd., effective August 1, 2025. With close to 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Iyer is widely recognized for her strategic leadership and expertise across wealth advisory, fixed income, real estate, and alternative investments.
Prior to joining Bajaj Finserv, she served as CEO – Investment & Strategy at Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited, where she led initiatives across diverse asset classes and helped scale bespoke investment strategies. In this role, she played a critical part in driving strategic product solutions and investment performance aligned with client objectives.
Before that, Iyer held the position of President, CIO – Debt & Head – Products at Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Co., where she managed fixed income portfolios exceeding INR 125,000 crore and led global institutional engagements across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the US. She also spearheaded ETF strategies, earning global recognition from Asia Asset Management and ETFI Asia, and played a key role in shaping valuation practices as a member of the AMFI Valuation Committee.
Earlier in her career, she worked as a Research Analyst at Credence Analytics, where she contributed to technology-driven treasury solutions and built critical financial market platforms during the late 1990s.
An MBA in Finance from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Lakshmi Iyer has been honored as one of Asia’s Top 25 Most Influential Women in Asset Management by Asian Investor. Her appointment reflects Bajaj Finserv’s strategic commitment to building a robust investment platform driven by seasoned leadership and long-term value creation.
