Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, August 2025 – Larissa Hughes has been appointed as the Head of Human Resources at Resolve Environmental, where she will lead the HR function to drive growth, organizational alignment, and people strategy. In this role, she will focus on building high-performing, connected teams across Australia while fostering a people-centric, data-driven approach to enable sustainable business growth.
Before joining Resolve Environmental, Larissa was Head of People at Cars24 Australia for over four years. As one of the earliest employees of the high-growth tech start-up, she played a crucial role in scaling the company to a global workforce of more than 300 employees. She successfully built a cohesive and engaged culture that enabled Cars24 to transform the way Australians buy and sell used cars.
Earlier, Larissa was Recruitment Manager at Estia Health, where she designed and executed recruitment strategies to tackle workforce shortages in aged care during the Covid-19 pandemic. She led surge recruitment efforts that added 200 staff in just three months and enhanced Estia’s employer branding and EVP in a highly competitive sector.
Prior to that, she served as Head of Talent and Education at EBM RentCover, overseeing recruitment strategy, training, and HR initiatives nationwide. She also held national-level recruitment leadership roles at Metro Trains Melbourne, White Light Ltd. in the UK, and Compass Group, where she supported large-scale recruitment campaigns, internal mobility, and employer branding.
Larissa began her career as a Recruitment Consultant at AccountAbility and Robert Half Officeteam, before moving into senior in-house HR and talent leadership roles that shaped her expertise in organizational growth, recruitment, and people development across diverse industries.
