Laura brings a strong background in strategic leadership and a deep commitment to social impact, making her the ideal leader to guide Camino in its mission to address critical public issues like social inequality, climate crisis, human rights abuses, and gender inequality through impactful communication strategies.
Laura Angel most recently served as the Head of Commercial Latam at Clever Leaves, where she spent over five years driving sales and business development in key Latin American markets, including Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. Her role was pivotal in expanding the company’s market presence and developing value-driven sales propositions across the region.
Prior to that, Laura held the position of Head of Innovation at Clever Leaves, where she led initiatives to create and implement innovative strategies that aligned with the company’s growth objectives. Her leadership in this role helped Clever Leaves solidify its reputation as a forward-thinking player in the industry.
Before joining Clever Leaves, Laura was the Head of Social Innovation at PNUD Colombia for a brief period, where she contributed to initiatives aimed at fostering social change and innovation at a national level.
Laura also served as the Coordinator of the National Land Observatory at Agencia Nacional de Tierras, where she played a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing land-related issues to inform public policies. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Public Policy Advisor at the Ministerio de Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones, focusing on strategies to enhance public services through technology.
Her extensive experience also includes roles at Fundación Ideas para la Paz as a Senior Researcher, and at the Departamento Nacional de Planeación as a Policy Specialist in Citizen Security, where she was involved in the development and implementation of policies aimed at improving public safety and citizen security across Colombia.
