Newry, Co. Down, Northern Ireland – December 2024 – Laura Cassells has been appointed as the new Head of People & Culture at S&W Wholesale, one of Northern Ireland’s leading wholesale distributors. In her new role, Cassells will lead the strategic development of the company’s HR function, focusing on employee engagement, talent management, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Cassells brings a strong background in HR leadership, having most recently served as an HR Business Partner at AG Paving and Building Products for three years. In this position, she played a key role in developing and executing HR initiatives to support company growth, employee satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Prior to that, Cassells was an HR Manager at Turkington in Portadown, where she spent over three years managing HR operations and contributing to strategic workforce planning and employee development.
Before her role at Turkington, Cassells worked as Regional HR Manager at TrustFord for four years, where she led HR functions across multiple locations, focusing on performance management, recruitment, and compliance. Her experience in regional HR management has equipped her with valuable skills in handling HR matters for geographically dispersed teams, a key asset for her new position at S&W Wholesale.
