London, United Kingdom – Laura Menzler has been appointed as the new Head of Human Resources at Balfour Beatty plc. With an extensive background in human resources management spanning over a decade, Menzler is poised to lead the HR functions into a new era of strategic development and employee engagement.
Prior to her current role, Laura Menzler served as the UK Head of People & Culture at Boklok, a joint venture between Skanska and Ikea, from February 2023 to April 2024. Here, she was instrumental in steering the people strategy for the organization’s modular housing initiatives across the UK. Before Boklok, Menzler held several prominent positions at Skanska, including Divisional HR Director from December 2018 to February 2023. In this role, she was a key member of the HR leadership team, focusing on strategic workforce planning, engagement, diversity, and inclusion for the Infrastructure Projects business.
Earlier in her career, Menzler acted as Senior HR Business Partner at Skanska UK, where she managed HR operations for the Utilities Unit and played a crucial role in various large-scale projects. Her tenure at Skanska was marked by significant achievements in talent management, organizational change, and cultural implementation across various contracts.
