New York City, New York, United States, April 2025 – Lauren A. Hunter-Dyson has been named Chief People Experience Officer at Safe Horizon, the largest victim services nonprofit organization in the United States. In this pivotal leadership role, Lauren will be responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s people strategy, fostering a workplace rooted in equity, wellness, and purpose as the nonprofit continues its mission of supporting victims of crime and abuse.
Prior to this appointment, Lauren served as Interim Vice President, People Experience, where she led HR transformation and people-centered initiatives across the organization. Her leadership during this period laid a strong foundation for her expanded role.
Previously, Lauren was Chief of People, Diversity, and Campus Operations at the New England Aquarium, where she led organization-wide DEIB strategy, talent operations, and campus facilities. She also served in senior HR roles at Upstream USA and Year Up, where she was instrumental in building inclusive HR frameworks and driving large-scale workforce development strategies.
Over the last decade, Lauren has also held leadership positions at MAXIMUS, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and City on a Hill Charter Public School, where she was deeply involved in human capital development, diversity and inclusion, and public sector workforce strategy. As President and Chief Culture Officer of CultuHR’d, her boutique consultancy, she has guided organizations through systems change and equitable workplace transformation.
