Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, November 2025 — Laurie Kosek has stepped into the role of Vice President Human Resources at Briggs & Stratton, where she will lead people strategy, organizational culture, talent development, and workforce transformation for the global power solutions leader. With a rich career spanning over two decades across industrial manufacturing, building materials, and global coatings, Laurie brings deep expertise in strategic HR leadership, culture building, people sustainability, and enterprise-wide transformation.
Prior to joining Briggs & Stratton, Laurie served as Head of People Sustainability and Inclusion at Hempel A/S, where she worked alongside global leadership to strengthen culture, drive engagement, and build inclusive leadership capabilities across regions. She led the rollout of culture and inclusion strategies, implemented global parental leave frameworks, trained over 600 global leaders in inclusive leadership, and introduced AI-enabled hiring technologies to reduce bias and elevate talent quality. She also previously served as People and Culture Director for North America, guiding HR operations across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada while developing people strategies that supported organizational growth and employee experience.
Earlier in her career, Laurie held senior leadership roles at NCI Building Systems (Cornerstone Building Brands) as Vice President Talent Management, where she shaped sales culture, redesigned compensation systems, led key leadership hiring, and contributed to major organizational transformation initiatives. Her experience also includes leading HR teams at GE Oil & Gas, GE Capital, Rockwell Automation, and Johnson Controls, where she focused on talent development, workforce planning, leadership coaching, and enterprise capability building.
