MOSCOW, IDAHO, USA, August 27, 2024 — Lightcast, a leading provider of global labor market data and analytics, today announced its acquisition of Stratigens, a UK-based talent intelligence firm known for its advanced data science capabilities. This acquisition enriches Lightcast’s offerings, providing customers with deeper insights into global talent supplies and further cementing its status as a top source for comprehensive labor market data.
Stratigens, founded in 2017 by Alison Ettridge, has developed a reputation for its robust data science team and innovative search analytics that address critical business challenges such as skill pool identification, talent attraction and retention, and support for mergers and acquisitions. Since 2022, Stratigens has utilized its proprietary algorithms alongside Lightcast’s labor market data to aid companies like Stryker and EY in crafting informed strategies on talent and location to optimize growth.
“Lightcast and Stratigens share a commitment to a customer-centric approach,” said Chris Kibarian, CEO of Lightcast. “Alison’s consultative and collaborative methods complement our data platforms perfectly. This merger enhances our ability to offer superior talent intelligence data, helping more companies shape strategies for a future-ready workforce.”
Alison Ettridge will join Lightcast as the Director of Global Talent Intelligence, bringing her expertise directly into the fold. “The merger of Lightcast and Stratigens marks a significant leap in data quality and intelligence, offering companies the tools they need to devise competitive talent and growth strategies,” said Ettridge.
In addition to this strategic expansion, Lightcast announced earlier this year the enhancement of its global labor data offerings, aimed at assisting business and talent leaders in making more precise skills-based decisions across diverse geographies and job taxonomies.
“With our expanded global reach, especially in Europe, we are excited to build on the strong relationships Stratigens has established in the talent intelligence sphere,” added JP Moran, Executive Vice President of Enterprise and Staffing at Lightcast.
Lightcast is set to participate in the Global Talent Intelligence Conference this September, where Alison Ettridge will lead a session on the Main Stage 2 at 12 pm CEST on Tuesday, September 24.
