A seasoned HR professional with nearly two decades of experience across premier Oberoi Group properties in India and the UAE, Lionel brings with him a deep understanding of people management, hospitality culture, and leadership excellence.
In his new role, Lionel will lead the hotel’s HR strategy, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives, reinforcing The Oberoi Group’s legacy of service excellence and its reputation as an employer of choice in the global hospitality industry. His leadership will focus on nurturing a culture of learning, performance, and well-being aligned with Oberoi’s hallmark values of care and commitment.
Before taking up this role, Lionel Vincent served as Head of Human Resources at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, where he played a key role in driving people development and operational excellence in one of the group’s flagship properties. His tenure saw the implementation of enhanced HR systems, employee engagement programs, and training interventions to elevate service standards.
Prior to that, Lionel was the Director of Human Resources at The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah (UAE), where he led HR strategy and people transformation initiatives across a multicultural workforce. His focus on leadership development and employee experience contributed to positioning the resort as one of the leading luxury destinations in the region.
Earlier, Lionel headed HR at Trident, Gurgaon and The Oberoi Sukhvilas, where he demonstrated his strength in employee relations, performance management, and compliance, ensuring operational excellence and workforce harmony. His journey with the Oberoi Group began at The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata and Trident Agra, where he steadily advanced from Executive – Human Resources to Senior Assistant Manager, gaining hands-on expertise in all facets of HR operations, training, and industrial relations.
