Phoenix, Arizona, United States, September 2025 – Lisa Urango has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Global Roofing Group, where she will drive the company’s people strategy, culture transformation, and workforce development initiatives. In her new role, Lisa will focus on building scalable HR infrastructure and fostering an inclusive, high-performance workplace to support the continued growth of the organization.
Before joining Global Roofing Group, Lisa served as Vice President of Human Resources at Cafe Valley, Inc. for nearly four years. In this role, she provided strategic HR leadership, overseeing employee benefits, training and development, full-cycle recruitment, and compensation strategies, helping the company strengthen its organizational culture and workforce capabilities.
Previously, she was a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Dignity Health – St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, where she partnered with senior leadership to implement HR strategies that supported large-scale healthcare operations. Earlier, she worked at CopperPoint Insurance Companies as a Human Resources Business Partner, aligning HR strategy with key business functions including claims, finance, legal, and marketing, and implementing succession planning frameworks to improve leadership pipelines.
Lisa also held a senior leadership role at Katerra, a global construction technology start-up, as Director/HR Business Partner for Manufacturing, where she supported rapid expansion by aligning HR practices with operational growth. Prior to that, she spent over three years at TriWest Healthcare Alliance as Human Capital Manager, managing complex employee relations, compliance, and HR operations across thousands of employees.
Her career includes earlier HR leadership roles at Exodyne, Southwest Behavioral & Health Services, and The Southwest Network, giving her over two decades of experience across healthcare, construction, insurance, and manufacturing sectors. She holds an MBA from Western Governors University, complementing her extensive HR leadership background with strategic business expertise.
