London, United Kingdom, September 2025 – Rolls-Royce has appointed Lizzie Da Costa as Head of Talent and Leadership Systems. In this new role, she will oversee the design and implementation of advanced talent frameworks, leadership programs, and organizational capability initiatives to support Rolls-Royce’s global strategy and culture of innovation.
Before joining Rolls-Royce, Lizzie served as Head of Talent Management at Anglo American for more than three years. In this role, she shaped leadership pipelines, succession planning, and global talent initiatives, strengthening the company’s capability agenda in the mining and resources sector.
Previously, Lizzie spent nearly a decade at bp in several senior positions, including Executive Talent Manager, Head of Talent Acceleration (Global), Head of D&I, EMEA, and Group Talent and Capability Manager. She also completed a secondment with Reliance Industries Ltd. in Mumbai. Her work at bp spanned talent development, diversity and inclusion, and global leadership acceleration, where she built strong frameworks for capability growth across regions.
Earlier in her career, Lizzie was a Senior Leadership & Talent Consultant at Korn Ferry Whitehead Mann, where she specialized in the assessment and development of senior leaders for FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies across multiple sectors. Prior to that, she worked with Accenture for over five years, progressing to Manager in Talent and Organizational Performance, with experience in learning strategy, change enablement, and workforce transformation for public and private sector clients.
Lizzie holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, where she graduated with First Class Honours, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London. She is also certified in Level A and B psychometric testing, enhancing her expertise in leadership and talent assessment.
