Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, February 2026 – Luna Nevhutalu has started a new position as Head of Global Markets Sales: Institutional Clients at RMB – Rand Merchant Bank. In this role, she will lead institutional client coverage within Global Markets, strengthening RMB’s advisory, trading, and securities capabilities for sophisticated clients across Africa and global corridors.
Prior to joining RMB, Luna served for over two years as Chief Executive Officer – Sanlam Structured Solutions at Sanlam. During her tenure, she led structured solutions strategy and execution, driving growth initiatives and delivering complex financial solutions tailored to client needs. Earlier at Sanlam Specialised Finance (SanFin), she held leadership roles in strategic implementation, shaping execution frameworks and operational alignment for specialised finance mandates.
Before Sanlam, Luna spent more than seven years at Liberty Group South Africa, where she served as Head of Product and Solutions Execution – LibFin and previously as Senior Associate Structured Solutions, building expertise in structured finance, product development, and execution excellence within institutional financial services.
She also contributed to public governance as a Board Member of the Council for Medical Schemes for two terms, serving on both the Audit Committee and HR Committee. Earlier in her career, she worked in Institutional Derivative Sales and Structuring at Standard Bank, strengthening her foundation in global markets and institutional financial solutions.
Luna holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD and a Post Graduate Diploma in Tax Law/Taxation from University of Cape Town, combining global business leadership education with technical financial expertise.
