Magdalena Kopta Appointed as Head of Human Resources at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology

Vienna, Austria, September 2025 – AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Austria’s largest research and technology organization, has appointed Magdalena Kopta as its new Head of Human Resources. In this role, she will lead the HR function to support AIT’s continued growth as a leading international research institution and top employer in the scientific and innovation landscape.

Kopta joins AIT after more than seven years with A1 Telekom Austria AG, where she most recently served as Lead HR Business Partner. In this role, she drove key people initiatives, aligning HR strategies with business goals and fostering organizational development. Before that, she worked as an HR Business Partner at the same company.

Earlier, she spent over three years at UniCredit Business Integrated Solutions, where she contributed as both an HR Legal Counsel and an HR Business Partner, supporting legal compliance and people management functions across the organization.

Kopta began her professional journey in law, serving over three years as Rechtsanwaltsanwärter at a law firm in Vienna, where she gained valuable expertise in employment and labor law before transitioning fully into human resources leadership.
