Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, July 2025 – Manimaran Krishnan has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Patel Infrastructure Limited, a leading player in India’s infrastructure sector. In this pivotal leadership role, Manimaran will spearhead strategic expansion and operational excellence across the company’s infrastructure verticals, driving the next phase of growth for one of India’s most trusted infrastructure names.
Prior to this, Manimaran Krishnan served as Director – Business Development (Energy Storage) at Opera Energy Private Limited for over three years, where he led ambitious initiatives in both the wind energy and battery storage sectors. His leadership spanned technology evaluation, partner negotiations, supply chain development in China, and strategic joint ventures for gigafactory setups, showcasing his deep expertise in the renewable energy landscape.
Earlier, he was Manager – Business Development at Sembcorp Green Infra Limited, where he led projects focused on clean energy growth, project structuring, and regulatory compliance. He also played a key role in market expansion and sales strategy during his tenure there.
Before that, he served as Deputy Manager – Business Development & Commercial at Mytrah Energy for over four years. His contributions involved project development, commercial operations, and stakeholder coordination across various wind and solar portfolios.
He began his renewable energy journey with Ushdev Power Holdings Pvt. Ltd. as Manager – Asset Management & Power Sales, and previously held engineering and technical roles with Vestas Wind Technology India Pvt Ltd, as well as early experience with Ford Motor Company and as a freelance wind farm technician. With nearly two decades of experience across the energy and infrastructure space, Manimaran brings a blend of strategic vision and hands-on technical knowledge to his new role.
