Manama, Bahrain, December 2025 — Maram Buallay has taken on a new role as Head of Talent Acquisition, Performance Management & HR Business Partnerships at the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB). In this expanded leadership position, she is responsible for driving enterprise-wide talent acquisition, performance management frameworks, and strategic HR business partnerships, further strengthening the bank’s people strategy and organizational effectiveness.
In her current tenure at National Bank of Bahrain, Maram Buallay has held multiple senior leadership responsibilities over the years. Prior to this latest appointment, she served as Head of HR Strategy & Planning, where she focused on workforce planning, HR governance, and long-term people strategy. She has also concurrently held the role of HR & Talent Development Manager, contributing to leadership development, talent growth, and capability building initiatives across the bank.
During 2025, Buallay additionally served as Acting Group Chief Human Resources Officer, where she provided executive-level HR leadership, overseeing people operations and strategic HR priorities during a critical transition period. Earlier in her journey at NBB, she worked as HR Senior Manager, managing core HR functions and supporting business leaders across the organization.
Before joining the National Bank of Bahrain, Buallay spent over a decade at BBK (Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait) as a Recruitment & Staff Relations Officer, where she built deep expertise in recruitment operations, employee relations, and workforce administration within the banking sector.
