In her new role, Maria will lead the company’s global people strategy, focusing on fostering a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work culture as Paxos continues to build transformative financial solutions for the open financial system.
Maria joins Paxos following a successful tenure at HackerRank, where she served as Chief People Officer for five years, overseeing the evolution of the organization’s HR strategies to support significant growth. She previously held leadership roles at Verb Surgical Inc. (acquired by Johnson & Johnson) as Vice President of People Operations, where she built the People Operations function from the ground up for a joint venture between Google and Johnson & Johnson.

Before that, Maria served as Vice President of People at RadiumOne (acquired by RhythmOne), where she directed global HR strategy across the US and Europe, ensuring scalability during rapid expansion. Earlier in her career, Maria held roles at Quotient Technology (formerly Coupons.com), Yahoo, and Wells Fargo Bank, where she gained extensive experience in HR leadership, recruitment, and global HR operations.
