Edison, New Jersey, United States, August 2025 – Maria Szydlowski has taken on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at MTF Biologics, marking a significant elevation in her long-standing tenure with the organization. In her new position, Maria will continue to lead the organization’s strategic people agenda, overseeing functions such as learning and development, compensation and benefits, HRIS, payroll, employee relations, and talent acquisition.
Maria brings more than two decades of progressive HR leadership within MTF Biologics, most recently serving as Vice President of Human Resources for nearly 11 years. In this role, she led a transformative overhaul of the HR department—growing the team from 10 to 24 professionals, enhancing departmental effectiveness, and establishing structured career paths aligned with the Korn Ferry/Hay Group methodology.
Prior to that, she served as Associate Director of Benefits, where she managed a $23.6M benefits budget and served on the 401(k) investment committee, contributing to the asset growth beyond $200M. Her policy innovations also led to a 15% reduction in leave of absence claims, showcasing her operational acumen.
Maria also held the role of Human Resources Manager for three years, where she focused on employee engagement initiatives, cross-functional training during high turnover phases, and successfully implemented key PeopleSoft upgrades. Her work laid the foundation for scalable HR systems and improved workforce alignment.
Earlier in her career at MTF Biologics, she served as Senior Human Resources Business Partner and Human Resources Business Partner, overseeing end-to-end recruitment, employee relations, and HRIS selection. She was instrumental in maintaining low turnover while ramping up hiring efforts, and led job description creation and interview training programs for hiring managers.
Maria holds an MBA from Grand Canyon University and an MS in Human Resources Administration from the University of Scranton.
