Cairo, Egypt, January 2026 – Marwa Al Wakil has embarked on a new chapter in her distinguished HR leadership career, joining Macro Group Pharmaceuticals as Chief People & Culture Officer. In announcing her move, she expressed enthusiasm to partner with the Macro Group team to strengthen organizational culture, enable talent, and drive meaningful and sustainable impact for both people and the business.
With more than two decades of experience across leading multinationals in FMCG, real estate, and manufacturing, Marwa is recognized for her strategic approach to human capital transformation, leadership development, and culture building.
Prior to joining Macro Group Pharmaceuticals, Marwa Al Wakil served as Head Human Resources Development at Hyde Park Developments for over a year. In this role, she focused on organizational capability building, leadership development, and modernizing HR practices to support the company’s rapid growth in Egypt’s competitive real estate sector.
Earlier, she was associated with Fort Capital as Human Resources Director, where she led enterprise-wide HR strategy and workforce transformation. Her work centered on strengthening talent frameworks, employee engagement, and performance culture within a dynamic investment environment.
A major part of Marwa’s career was shaped at PepsiCo Egypt, where she spent nearly five years as HR Director – Sales (Beverages/Snacks). She partnered with business leadership to drive people strategies across large, geographically dispersed sales teams, supporting capability development and organizational effectiveness. She also held senior HR roles with Chipsy for Food Industries and International for Dairy and Juices – Beyti, strengthening her exposure to FMCG manufacturing and commercial HR leadership.
Her earlier tenure with PepsiCo as HR Manager – Operations & Support Functions laid the foundation for her expertise in operations HR, industrial relations, and business partnering across complex supply chains.
Throughout her career, Marwa has built a reputation for aligning HR strategy with business objectives, nurturing inclusive cultures, and enabling high-performance organizations.
Marwa Al Wakil holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management and Services from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (2000–2001).
