TweetPostShareWhatsapp

London, United Kingdom, September 2025 – Lawhive has appointed Matt Doe as its new Head of Talent. In this role, Matt will lead talent strategy and recruitment as the company leverages AI to transform consumer law and make legal services more accessible. His mandate includes building scalable hiring frameworks, strengthening employer branding, and driving executive and global talent acquisition to support Lawhive’s rapid growth.

Matt joins Lawhive from Carwow, where he served as Head of Talent Acquisition for just over a year. Joining after the company’s Series E funding round, he managed a global team of nine talent professionals, overseeing significant headcount growth from 500 to 700 employees. He restructured the team to emphasize sourcing and business partnership, implemented advanced talent acquisition systems such as Ashby and Metaview, reduced average time-to-fill from three months to one, and played a central role in executive hiring and organizational workforce planning.

Prior to Carwow, Matt spent four years at hyperexponential as Head of Talent. Joining at seed stage as employee #11 and the first Talent/People hire, he built the talent function from the ground up, scaling the company to around 200 employees across London, New York, and Warsaw through post-Series B. He established hyperexponential as an employer of choice, introduced early career frameworks, and led a team of seven across talent acquisition and operations.

Previously, Matt co-founded TalentBase, a specialist talent and people consultancy designed to support high-growth tech scaleups. Over three and a half years, he partnered with organizations such as G-Research, ITV, Sainsbury’s, JustEat, and Eigen Technologies, leading people and talent strategies through periods of intense growth.

His earlier career included leadership roles at ThinkersConnect, where he scaled Ve Global from 50 to 500 employees, and consultancy experience with PCR Digital and Arrows Group, where he specialized in recruiting top software engineering talent. These roles gave him a strong foundation in technology recruitment, people strategy, and organizational design.
