With a deep-rooted passion for the sport and extensive experience in human resource leadership, Matthew will oversee HR functions and support organizational growth during an exciting era for soccer in the U.S.

Prior to his role at U.S. Soccer, Matthew was the Senior Director of Human Resources at Osmose in Atlanta, where he led HR strategies, operational improvements, and employee engagement initiatives. His tenure was marked by initiatives that enhanced HR functionality, fostering a resilient workforce.

Previously, he served as Associate Vice President of Human Resources at North Highland, where he was instrumental in developing a Talent Activation Strategy that aligned with the company’s three-year Go-to-Market plan. This strategy included learning, development, talent management, and leadership initiatives that supported North Highland’s growth trajectory.

During his extensive six-year career at Amazon, Matthew held multiple HR leadership roles, including Multi-Region Senior HR Manager and Regional Senior HR Manager, overseeing HR operations across multiple locations and supporting thousands of employees. His responsibilities included talent acquisition, employee relations, and strategic HR planning across Amazon’s Sort Center and Fulfillment organizations.

Earlier in his career, Matthew contributed to HR development at McMaster-Carr and Sherwin-Williams, where he built high-impact HR programs, streamlined organizational practices, and played a vital role in talent acquisition and retention. His HR leadership journey began at Cole Vision Corporation and Sterling Jewelers, where he implemented cost-saving initiatives and innovative onboarding processes.
