Green Cargo, Sweden’s leading railway operator for freight, is pleased to announce the appointment of Max Knagge as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Knagge, who assumed his position in March 2024, brings a wealth of experience in sales, marketing, and business transformation to Green Cargo’s executive management team. Based in Solna, Stockholm County, Knagge’s role is pivotal in driving the commercial strategies and initiatives of Green Cargo, which is known for its commitment to sustainable logistics services.
With a career spanning various industries and significant roles, Knagge’s professional journey is marked by notable achievements and contributions. Before joining Green Cargo, he founded KMJ Consulting in Stockholm, offering consultancy services in strategy development, business transformation, and project management. His expertise in shaping customer offerings and developing new revenue streams was further demonstrated during his tenure at FOREX AB as the Head of Business Transformation.
Knagge’s leadership capabilities were prominently showcased at SAS Cargo Group A/S, where he served as President and CEO. Under his stewardship, SAS Cargo Group achieved the best EBT results in its history in 2022, highlighting his ability to drive profitability and operational excellence. His tenure at SAS Cargo Group was also distinguished by significant organizational changes, cost savings achievements, and the launch of a comprehensive sustainability program.
