Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, November 2025 – Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance (MEAA) has announced the appointment of Megan Powell as its new Chief Growth & Marketing Officer, marking a strategic move to expand the organization’s reach, influence, and engagement within Australia’s creative, media, and performing arts sectors. In her new role, Megan will lead MEAA’s communications, marketing, and digital growth strategy, driving initiatives aimed at enhancing member engagement and advancing the organization’s voice across industries that inform, entertain, and inspire Australians.
Before joining MEAA, Megan Powell served as General Manager – Brand & Marketing (Chief Marketing Officer) at RACV, where she led the company’s brand, marketing, and member value proposition across all RACV-branded products. During her four-year tenure, she launched the RACV Brand Promise, integrated data-led marketing analytics, and delivered strategic programs that significantly improved acquisition and retention. Megan’s leadership also resulted in the implementation of cross-channel personalization strategies, loyalty campaigns, and multi-million-dollar operational efficiencies — positioning RACV as a consumer-trusted, insights-driven organization.
Prior to RACV, she was General Manager – eCommerce & Online Business Development at the Just Group, leading digital transformation across its retail brands including Smiggle and Peter Alexander. She drove new eCommerce initiatives, expanded marketplace operations across the UK and Europe, and successfully launched Smiggle on Amazon platforms — setting new benchmarks in omnichannel retail integration and customer experience.
Earlier, as Director of Multichannel Marketing, Communications, and New Media at Monash University, Megan advanced the university’s digital innovation strategy, enhancing its online presence and global engagement. Her initiatives — such as the university-wide web refresh, SEO enhancements, and immersive VR campus tours — helped Monash strengthen its brand and student engagement.
Megan’s career also includes over five years at Tesco PLC, where she led Multichannel Marketing, Customer Acquisition & Loyalty for the UK’s largest retailer. Her leadership across eCommerce, CRM, and loyalty programs significantly grew Tesco’s active customer base and reinforced its multichannel strategy. Earlier roles at AKQA and Evans honed her expertise in digital innovation, customer insights, and integrated communications.
